Tips for Doing Any Drinking Challenge
Embarking on a drinking challenge, like the Disney Skyliner Crawl, is all about having fun while staying safe and responsible. Here are some tips to ensure you have an enjoyable experience:
- Stay Hydrated: Drinking alcoholic beverages can dehydrate you, so it’s essential to drink plenty of water throughout your adventure. A good rule of thumb is to have a glass of water between each alcoholic drink.
- Eat Plenty of Food: Make sure to fuel up with substantial meals and snacks. Disney resorts offer a variety of delicious food options that can help balance the alcohol and keep you energized.
- Pace Yourself: There’s no rush! Enjoy the ambiance and cocktails at each stop without hurrying to the next. Remember, the goal is to have fun, not to overindulge.
- Know Your Limits: Everyone’s tolerance is different, so listen to your body and know when to take a break. It’s perfectly fine to skip a drink or opt for a non-alcoholic beverage if you need to.
- Travel with Friends: Having a buddy system adds to the fun and ensures everyone stays safe. Friends can help keep an eye on each other and share memorable moments together.
- Plan Your Route: Familiarize yourself with the Skyliner routes and resort stops ahead of time. This planning can help maximize your experience and ensure you don’t miss any must-visit locations.
- Have a Safe Way Home: Whether it’s Disney transportation, a ride-sharing service, or a designated driver, make sure you have a reliable plan to get back to your accommodations safely.
By following these tips, you’ll be ready to sip and glide your way through the Disney Skyliner Crawl while making magical memories that last a lifetime!
We decided to start our Skyliner Crawl at the Art of Animation. To get there, we walked over to the Friendship boat dock between the Swan and Dolphin hotels. The boat took us to Epcot where we went on the Skyliner. We had to make one Skyliner change to get to Art of Animation. It probably took us 20-30 minutes to get there.
Part of our party parked at Disney Springs and caught the bus to Art of Animation. There are lots of free ways to get around Disney- shuttle buses, boats, the Monorail, and Skyliner. If you have the time, look at all the options before getting a ride share.

Stop 1: Art of Animation Pool Bar – The Drop Off
Our first stop is at the vibrant Art of Animation Resort. Known for its larger-than-life Disney character statues and immersive theming, this resort is a visual treat. Head over to The Drop Off pool bar, where you can kick off your Skyliner Crawl with a refreshing cocktail.

- The Atmosphere– The Drop Off is all about fun and relaxation. With bright colors and a laid-back vibe, it’s the perfect place to start your adventure. You can even take a dip in the pool if you feel like it!
- Must-Try Drinks– Don’t miss out on their signature drinks like the Big Blue Ocean, a tropical blend that will transport you straight to a beach paradise. Pair it with some light snacks to keep you energized for the rest of the crawl.
- Insider Tip– Grab a seat by the pool and soak in the atmosphere. It’s a great spot to people-watch and get into the Disney spirit.

Stop 2: Caribbean Beach Resort – Banana Cabana
Next up, hop back on the Skyliner and head to the Caribbean Beach Resort, home to the delightful Banana Cabana. This lively spot offers a taste of the Caribbean right in the heart of Disney.

- The Atmosphere– Banana Cabana boasts a relaxed, island-inspired setting with open-air seating and views of the resort’s lush surroundings. It’s a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy some tropical vibes.
- Must-Try Drinks– Order the Caribbean Smuggler, a fruity concoction with just the right amount of kick. Their Rum Runner is also a crowd favorite, blending rum with a mix of delicious fruit juices. One of our favorites here was the Jamaican Frozen Runner.
- Insider Tip– Time your visit to catch the sunset. The view from Banana Cabana is nothing short of spectacular as the skies turn vibrant hues of orange and pink.

Stop 3: Bar Riva at the Riviera Resort
Our third stop takes us to the elegant Riviera Resort, where you’ll find Bar Riva. This chic poolside bar is known for its sophisticated ambiance and exquisite drinks.

- The Atmosphere– Inspired by the European Riviera, Bar Riva offers a stylish yet relaxed setting. The decor features soft blues and whites, evoking a sense of calm and luxury.
- Must-Try Drinks-Indulge in the Mediterranean Mint Lemonade, a refreshing blend of lemonade, mint, and a splash of vodka. For something more robust, try the Aperol Spritz—a classic choice that’s both light and invigorating.
- Insider Tip– Take a moment to explore the resort’s beautiful artwork and architecture. The Riviera Resort is known for its attention to detail and stunning aesthetics.

Bar Riva was a fan favorite. The atmosphere was so relaxing. The bar stools were the most comfortable- this was important after all the walking we did. Everything was clean and the aesthetic was beautiful. The bartenders at this stop were fabulous and the cocktails were hand-crafted using syrups they made themselves. The cocktails were some of the best we had on our bar crawl. Some of our favorites were the Il Tramonto and the Pineapple Mule.
We did get a snack here and the food was very tasty. The chicken tenders were not your basic park tender and the sauces tasted homemade. The arancini was also delicious.
Stop 4: Belle Vue Lounge at the BoardWalk Inn
Next, glide over to the BoardWalk Inn and make your way to the Belle Vue Lounge. This intimate and cozy lounge captures the charm of a bygone era with its vintage decor and classic cocktails.

- The Atmosphere– Belle Vue Lounge exudes old-world elegance, with plush seating and nostalgic music playing in the background. It’s the perfect spot for a more relaxed and intimate experience.
- Must-Try Drinks– Sip on the Boardwalk Breeze, a delightful mix of pineapple juice, coconut rum, and cranberry juice. If you’re a fan of classic cocktails, their Old Fashioned is expertly crafted and sure to impress. I had the Espresso Martini. It was a nice classic cocktail.
- Insider Tip– Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the BoardWalk after your visit. The area is filled with charming shops, street performers, and beautiful views of Crescent Lake.

We got pizza slices from the Pizza Window before heading into the Bellvue. That made our second snack of the evening. I thought the pizza was delicious. It’s a good option when the corn dog line is too long.
Stop 5: The Dance Hall at the BoardWalk
Ready to amp up the energy? Your next stop is the Dance Hall at the BoardWalk. This lively venue offers a fantastic atmosphere for dancing the night away with friends and fellow Disney fans. There is no cover charge at the Dance Hall making it a fun and affordable way to spend the evening. Drinking is optional, dancing is free!
- The Atmosphere– The Dance Hall is all about fun and excitement. With a spacious dance floor, live DJ, and vibrant lighting, it’s the ultimate spot to let loose and enjoy some great music.
- Must-Try Drinks– Quench your thirst with a Disco Lemonade, a fun and colorful drink that perfectly matches the lively ambiance. Their Electric Martini is another crowd-pleaser, offering a zesty twist on the classic martini. By the time we got to the dance hall, we were all in the mood for something simple. We had a couple of Gin and Tonics and a couple of rum and Cokes.
- Insider Tip– Check the schedule for themed dance nights or special events. The Dance Hall often hosts unique parties that add an extra layer of fun to your visit.
I liked the music at the Dance Hall. They played a variety of music from all genres so, there is something for everyone!
Stop 6: Stir at the Swan Reserve
Our final stop on the Disney Skyliner Crawl is Stir at the Swan Reserve. This upscale lobby bar offers a sophisticated end to your adventure, with impeccable service and a serene atmosphere. We ended our crawl here because we were staying at the Swan Reserve. It’s a fantastic hotel and is very beautiful. We had the opportunity to visit the bar inside and the pool bar on several occasions and all the drinks were fantastic and the bartenders are as well.

- The Atmosphere– Stir combines modern elegance with a touch of whimsy, featuring stylish decor and comfortable seating. It’s an ideal place to unwind and reflect on your Skyliner Crawl experience.
- Must-Try Drinks– Treat yourself to the Reserve Manhattan, a smooth and luxurious blend of bourbon, vermouth, and bitters. The Lavender Gin Fizz is another must-try, offering a delightful floral twist.
